DIRECTV – Reboot Procedure
There are a number of reasons why you might want to reboot your DIRECTV (DTV) boxes, and it’s always the first step we take when you are having issues.
You should consider everything in your AV rack a computer, and just like the computer you use at home or at the office, they will occasionally freeze up and need to be rebooted.
Depending on the model of DTV box you have, the reboot procedure will be slightly different.
DIRECTV H24 Box
Please see the photo below. This style box is called an H24 and the red reset button is located on the front of the box as seen in the photos below.
DIRECTV H25 Box
Please see the photo below. This style box is called an H25 and the red reset button is located on the right hand side of the box as seen in the photo below.
